We're in trouble!

We are in trouble I can just tell you now. There's something very strange about this trip. It's as if we have traveled to an alternate universe. The first few days on the ship Gary was waking up at 7:00am, grabbing coffee and going ashore. Normal for Bubba. About 3 days into the vacation we were ordering room service and having it delivered to our cabin by 7:30. (a little later) The 4th and 5th days we were actually awakened by the porter bringing the breakfast and we began taking naps so that we could stay up for our "late seatings" at 8:30pm.

Now this should having raised red flags for Gary but no- we continued sleeping in every morning until 9:00 - 9:30 am (1 morning it was 10:00!!!) then we take naps every afternoon after our huge lunches. Then we get ready and go to dinner.

Gary said his belt doesn't fit any more. He thought he may have laid it in some water but no...he has gained so much weight that it just doesn't fit any more!!! Both of us have! It's horrible!! We stay awake until midnight or so....can you imagine Gary staying awake that late night after night? How funny is that???

Anyway- we went to a very traditional restaurant this evening at Il Leonardo. The restaurant is 85 years old and it was packed before we left. The forth generation of the same family now runs it. It was Gary's choice and it was good but not great. (Two weeks after I get home I'll look at this post and maybe regret that statement!)!Lot and lots of,seafood. Never thought I'd say this bur I'm actually getting tired of seafood!! Every meal we've had some. And of course there's no good beef here. Anyway here are the food pics from tonight. The codfish balls and Béchamel and ham balls were incredible as was the artichoke and Jamon  ham (grand reserve) salad and of corse we had our peppers- all were absolutely fabulous!! The liguistini also blew us away!! (That's the large- looking shrimp on the seafood platter- looks like a small pink lobster) The one with claws. There were 3 different kinds of shrimp!! Can you imagine?? The fish was grouper but tasted like flounder. Excellent! Really good meal...we're just tired of seafood!!
