We are in Valencia now sitting at a Tapas bar that has some of the most beautiful tapas I've ever seen. The owners laughed at me as I took photos but it was worth a little humiliation!!
Would you look at this!! How beautiful! Jessy you just didn't prepare me for all this!! Each cafe has absolutely wonderful coffee, wine and artistically designed tapas!! Every place that we've visited has been extremely clean also!! Spotless!! Even (or should I say especially) the mom and pop restaurants!! This one, La Tabernacle de la Reina is no exception. I don't know if its the lack of quality on board the ship or the incredible lattes in each and every tavern but I've never enjoyed coffee like this!! The little foam designs on top are an indication of the care that people take, the pride in which they serve.
We are in search of paella this morning. Apparently someone in Valencia invented the dish so we're on a hunt for our lunch already. I need redemption from the past few days of failed restaurants!! Hopefully my research will come to fruition today.
As I look out the window of this incredible shop I see a chocolate shop. I'm hoping to get some chocolates for my dad. It's one of the few passions that he still has in his life. There are church bells ringing in the distance and the shops are calling me now.
I'll have one of each, please.
